Toddlercare Day Nursery & Pre-school at Culham Science Centre

Ofsted said in the last inspection report (March 2009):-

"Children flourish in this safe and welcoming nursery where they make good progress towards the early learning goals and have excellent opportunities to develop personal, social and emotional skills. Close relationships with parents help staff to effectively support children's individual needs. Outstanding inclusive practice ensures that all children and their families are very warmly welcomed within the setting and children who speak English as an additional language receive excellent support to develop their communication skills."

Our Culham nursery was purpose built in 2002 and offers outstanding childcare facilities both indoor and outdoor. We have a special baby friendly outdoor garden for toddlers and babies, plus a large ‘meadow’ where the older children can grow plants and have lots of space to play.

The nursery is conveniently located at Culham Science Centre (which is about 2 miles from Abingdon) and has plenty of parking space for safe, easy pick up and drop off of children.

We were last inspected by Ofsted the 23rd March 2009 and scored Good for the standard of our Care and education. We scored Outstanding for "Inclusive Practice" and also for "helping children to make a positive contribution" –the full report is available at www.ofsted.gov.uk alternatively we would be delighted to send you a copy.

Opening hours

The nursery and preschool provide childcare Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 6pm inclusive, all year round excluding Bank Holidays.

Nursery sessions:

Full Daycare

7.30am – 6.00pm (inc breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch and afternoon tea)

Mornings

8.30am – 12.30pm (including mid morning snack and lunch)

Afternoon

1.30pm – 5.30pm (including afternoon tea)
